Privacy Notice

Last updated: June 30, 2026

This Privacy Notice explains how Parkfluence ("Parkfluence", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and retains personal data when you use our website, mobile apps, and related services (the "Service"). Parkfluence is the data controller for the personal data described below.

1. Personal data we collect

  • Account data: email address, hashed password or SSO identifier (e.g. Google), display name.
  • Subscription data: plan tier, status, renewal dates, and a customer identifier returned by our payment processor.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, parks and rides selected, filters used, device type, browser, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, and timestamps.
  • Support data: messages you send us and any information you choose to include.
  • Precise location (mobile apps only, optional): if you grant the "While Using the App" location permission, we use your device's GPS location to detect which park you are in and to sort nearby rides. Precise location is used on-device to power these features, is never sold or shared with advertisers, and you can revoke the permission at any time in your device settings. The app remains fully usable with location turned off.
  • Push notification data (mobile apps only, optional): if you allow notifications, we store a device push token (issued by Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging) linked to your account, plus your alert preferences, so we can deliver wait-time alerts. Turning notifications off deletes the token on next sign-in or account deletion.
  • In-app purchase data (mobile apps only): when you subscribe through the App Store we receive a purchase/transaction identifier, product identifier, and renewal status from Apple via RevenueCat. We never receive your payment card details.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: strictly-necessary cookies for sign-in and session management; analytics cookies to measure aggregate usage.

2. How we use personal data

  • Create and maintain your account and authenticate sign-ins (contract).
  • Provide the Service: crowd dashboards, ride pages, alerts, and personalization (contract).
  • Process subscriptions, invoices, and tax via our Merchant of Record (contract / legal obligation).
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents (legitimate interests).
  • Improve and debug the Service through aggregate analytics (legitimate interests).
  • Send service-related emails (contract). Marketing emails only with your consent.
  • Detect your current park and deliver wait-time push alerts you have opted into (consent).

3. Legal basis (UK/EEA)

We rely on performance of a contract for account and subscription processing, legitimate interests for security and product improvement, consent for non-essential cookies and marketing, and legal obligation for tax and accounting records.

4. How we share personal data

  • Payments — Stripe Payments Company. Stripe processes your payment method, calculates and remits applicable sales tax, and manages billing on our behalf. Stripe receives your name, email, billing address, and payment card details directly. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g. Cloudflare, Supabase) acting as our processors to operate the Service.
  • Authentication providers (e.g. Google) only when you choose to sign in with them.
  • In-app purchases — Apple and RevenueCat, Inc. Apple processes App Store payments; RevenueCat receives purchase identifiers and your Parkfluence user id to manage entitlements. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
  • Push delivery — Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which receive your device token and the alert content in order to deliver notifications.
  • Email delivery providers for transactional emails sent from notify.parkfluence.com.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where reasonably required.
  • Authorities where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Parkfluence, users, or the public.

5. International transfers

Personal data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, transfers from the UK/EEA rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision.

6. Data retention

We retain account and subscription data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Usage logs are typically retained for up to 24 months in identifiable form and then deleted or aggregated. Support correspondence is retained for up to 3 years.

Precise location is processed in real time to determine your current park and is not stored as a location history. Push device tokens are retained until you disable notifications, sign out of the device, or delete your account.

6a. Deleting your account and data

You can permanently delete your Parkfluence account at any time from inside the app or website: go to Account → Delete account. Deletion immediately and irreversibly removes your profile, saved alerts, push device tokens, tracked rides, ride recaps, and subscription records from our systems. Anonymous, aggregated wait-time statistics that cannot identify you may be retained. If you subscribed through the App Store, cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings to stop future charges. If you need help, email joe@parkfluence.com.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of, or restriction or portability of your personal data, and you may object to certain processing or withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, email joe@parkfluence.com. We aim to respond within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege service credentials to protect personal data.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and a small set of analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email where appropriate.
